Going Green
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

TRC fully supports Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System norms.

The rating system addresses five major areas: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality.

The LEED Rating System provides the building industry with consistent and credible standards to construct environment-friendly buildings.

LEED norms benefit a wide-range of professionals in the building industry: architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction managers, lenders and government officials.

Many TRC engineers such as Derek Wassink, P.E., Brendon Bergeron, P.E.,and Michael Giannavola, P.E., have successfully completed the certification exam administered by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and are certified as "LEED Accredited Professionals". TRC also has an ongoing in-house training program to get many more of its engineers certified.

TRC has several LEED projects under construction. The Conservatory at Celebration Place, Celebration FL, the E.P.D. Research Laboratory for the Environmental Protection Department in Broward County, FL, Boca Colonnade Office Building and Parking Garage in Boca Raton, FL, and Miramar Office Complex in Miramar, FL., are some of the noted green projects in TRC's portfolio.
