27 Summit, a luxury residential project in Bangalore developed by MAIA Estates, has been awarded the 2024 Rethinking The Future (RTF) Award for Architectural Innovation of the Year (Concept). Designed by Barcelona-based boutique studio SOG design, the project is a striking example of biophilic architecture brought to life through structural precision and interdisciplinary collaboration.
As a structural consultant, TRC worked closely with the architectural team from SOG’s Singapore studio to realize a complex structural geometry: three interlocking towers designed to allow unobstructed 360° skyline views while maximizing daylight and reducing solar heat gain.
The RTF Award recognizes innovation in spatial planning, sustainable integration, and design innovation. TRC’s engineering design was instrumental in enabling the landscaped terraces, double-height terraces, sky bridges, and full-height glazing envisioned by the design team.
