The expansion and renovation of Drew Memorial Hospital transformed a 40-year-old rural facility into a more comprehensive regional healthcare provider. The 51,000-square-foot addition introduced a new Surgical Suite with four operating rooms, two C-Section suites, a specialty care center for visiting physicians, and a Women’s Center designed to elevate birthing services in southeastern Arkansas.

Renovations also included the conversion of the former Labor & Delivery suite into an expanded laboratory.

Supported in part by USDA Rural Development funding, the project enabled Drew Memorial to expand capacity, modernize services, and bring enhanced medical care to Drew County and surrounding communities.
