Driven by the need to better serve a growing patient population, Jefferson Regional Medical Center undertook development of a new 237-bed replacement hospital focused on delivering high-quality care within a realistic, value-conscious budget.
The planning process included a comprehensive evaluation of the existing campus, service lines, physician recruitment needs, clinical utilization, financial capacity, site access, and overall campus visibility. These findings informed multiple conceptual design options, allowing the team to identify and advance the most viable solution. The selected concept was then refined through schematic design and detailed project cost analysis to support phased implementation.
The resulting replacement strategy positioned JRMC to enhance patient experience, expand market presence, modernize clinical environments, strengthen physician recruitment, improve operational efficiency, and establish a financially sustainable path forward.
TRC’s structural engineering supported the hospital’s phased development approach and long-term performance objectives, contributing to a modern healthcare facility aligned with JRMC’s strategic vision.
