Indian River State College– William & Helen Thomas STEM Building (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Ken Pruitt Campus (previously West Campus) - Port St. Lucie, Florida

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. provided structural engineering design, construction administration and inspection services on this new $19.5 million, three-story, 56,000 square foot Center located on the west campus of Indian River State College. The facility for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics houses seven laboratories in scientific fields that include genetics, ecology, chemistry, molecular science, botany, microbiology and engineering. In addition, the Center features state-of-the-art computer equipped teaching labs and technology supported classrooms with the capability to receive and transmit presentations between the IRSC Main Campus and area research institutes. The project earned a LEED Silver Certification.
